note the high-mount rear-view mirrors....
obviously, the third brake-light is an add on, bu the trunk and taillights seem like they ought to be pretty obvious to someone who knows...
The GF and I were picking up some hay for the sheeps today, and we ended up behind this vehicle on US-RT2 on Grand Isle, At first I thought it was a Peugeot 403 (ala Colombo) but despite the profile, the tail-lights and trunk are wrong,.. can any opponaut identify this (probably) French (almost, assuredly European) vintage soft-top?

48-51 Ford is my guess.

but it was slab-sided, and those Fords have pontoon fenders.
edit: the later ones are slab-side... the 51's one have chrome light fairings, but the ‘49/’50's might be a match.... you may have called it.

i think its the ford. those lights are very unique. I was thinking it was something like a tr3 in size.

definately too big to be a tr3, thats what got me on the Peugeot track, but I think the tail-lights are indeed Ford.
